Excellent food and excellent service and great atmosphere. Good place to take the family or a date night

WOW! What an amazing find! Just had lunch here and was blown away by the Mofongo and everything else. Small and unassuming restaurant, but the food packs amazing flavor in. The waitress was even nice enough to help us understand how to order it in a way that was more cost-effective and didn't give us too much food. That is rare to find.

You can see by my pictures how delicious these 2 dishes were The service is outstanding with a waitress who is so friendly and will explain every dish It's a quiet little restaurant with a family style atmosphere

Went with family from out of town, we were a party of 10 and they easily accommodated us all. We all ordered different plates from Mofongo /pernil / pastel / grilled chicken / chicken soup / empanadas / red and black beans. All were delicious! So delicious that I didn't want to stop eating to take any photos! Definitely recommend going if you want authentic Puerto Rican food. Just make sure to go early enough as they aren't open late.

What a hidden gem! My husband and I came here for dinner. As a Puerto Rican myself I struggle to find authentic Puertorican food but boy this place proved me wrong! The place is on the smaller side but is thoroughly decorated with Puertorican flags. It was even visited by Guy Fieri once. Our food was served very quickly but I wish our server, who never mentioned her name, would have been more personable. We had asked for mayo-ketchup and I guess it is the only one they had because they asked if we were done with it and gave it to another table. I wished there were more of that amazing sauce. Now for the best part, all the food. We had alcapurrias and bacalaitos and I was immediately transported to Piñones. The bacalaitos were thin and very crispy. The alcapurrias were extremely tasty and did not lack filling. My husband then had arroz con gandules, black beans and chicharron de pollo, while I had trifongo with chicharron de pollo. Everything was packed with flavor! The chicken was crispy on the outside and so juicy on the inside. The trifongo (not shown on the menu) was amazing! It came with chicken broth and it has fried pork skin to give an extra crunch. It is a must try in my opinion. This has become the only place aside from Puerto Rico itself where I will gladly have mofongos or trifongos.

Thank you Guy Fieri for introducing me to this hidden gem but also selfishly wish he would have kept it a secret because I want to keep it all to myself haha! This is the best Puerto Rican food my family and I have had outside of Puerto Rico. We drive over an hour as a treat once a month for a family dinner here we love it so much! My grandpa is obsessed with the pasteles. He will eat a few of them and then we request to take some frozen ones home for him to enjoy another day. All you have to do is boil them, they come wrapped but not cooked. The rest of us come for the mofongo! It is so good, not greasy, full of flavor anda huge portion! I always get mine with palomilla steak. The flan and tres leches come in small single portions and taste so good! Make sure to save room!

La Cosinita Latina...top notch Puerto Rican food...Mofongo and Fried Pork for me and Mofongo Pulled Pork for Terri...they also bring out some "gravy" for the Mofongo that adds just a bit more level of flavor as well. The Empanadas were very hot and the sauce was volcano spicy and delicious. Very cool and colorful decor and the staff was awesome!

Its located in a small plaza so make sure to really look for it. The food was good. Everything we ordered was eaten and it did taste like homemade. When you go to eat at your aunt house and it was made with all the right seasoning. I don't know how to really explain it. The service was good at first I got off on the wrong foot with the server, but then I realized she was just doing her job . The location for me is about an hour away, but I know that when I want to take a drive La Cosinita will be there.
